Hello Grand Beauties! With this year going by so fast are you taking time to enjoy your life?

Carmen Sargeant | Grand Beauty Spa ownerI am discovering thru experience and reading different books that to replenish and keep yourself balanced you must try to find silence in your day everyday.

Time to meditate, contemplate,as well as to rest and eat healthy. It’s sounds so easy but why are we so challenged to find or make this time that can so positively affect our lives. Well it couldn’t have anything to do with work or home life and being completely exhausted (Lol) especially as parents and work we want to give everything to our kids and families and friends but then what’s left for you?

It’s important to set up your day everyday. You must create this or it will never happen. With the holidays approaching the madness is only going to get busier.

We have come up with some tips to help you find some silence or should we call it peace in your life.

  1. Go to a yoga class. I love The Lotus Pond in Tampa. This is the best way to start your day and create an intention for your day. If you don’t have time to go to a class find a quiet spot to practice sitting in silence in your home or office, put some relaxing music or light a candle. Begin to focus on your breath and see what comes. You may find yourself intuitively moving to the music and that is totally O.K.
  2. I love The Grand. The Grand is also a great place to find silence. Have you been upstairs? Our therapist are great at giving you permission to stop and relax. You may even find yourself drooling during your treatment … There are many places to relax at The Grand to enjoy me time. I love to go sit in our Buddha garden. We have extra yoga mats to lend. Sitting out there listening to the waterfall and the birds you almost forget your in the city. The Sauna and steam are a plus too you will leave clearer and more uplifted than when you came in.
  3. The best is if you can have find sacred spot in your home to practice. It’s called a practice because that’s exactly what it is. We have to practice so we can become more disciplined at making ourselves 1st. So maybe your porch, bedroom or closet. Find a quiet place and try to set a 15 minute or so meditation you can add more time with practice.
  4. Create a once a week bathing ritual for yourself. Start from head to toe. Cleanse and indulge your hair with a Shu Uemura or Kerastase masque recommended just for your hair by one of our beauty stylist.
  5. Next gently exfoliate your face with Thalgo’s gentle exfoliating face scrub, then masque with your favorite recommended face masque I personally love the Hydra source masque.
  6. Then scrub your body with Indeocean or Polynesia scrub all available at the Grand. Once your all scrubbed and conditioned rinse everything off and finish with a body cream or lotion you love, grab your book and enjoy the feeling of indulging and taking care of yourself.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday and Thank you!

Best,
Carmen
